Make-up tip

So a while ago I dropped this eye shadow and amazingly it DID NOT SHATTER!  Best day ever!  K, not really.  But then the very next day I dropped it AGAIN and this is what resulted.  I was pretty sad thinking I'd have to throw it out when we move but I rembered hearing you can actually salvage your broken eye shadows!  Yes, when it's MAC, you better be salvaging them. (;
Alls you do:
(soooo easy)
Take all of the eye shadow and ground it up till it's like a powder (yes, even the unbroken pieces- as much as it pains you to do)
Drop a few (or several) drops of rubbing alcohol in it until it's pasty.  Not too wet or muddy (picture above is powdery not pasty, fyi).  Push it back in your container and voila- good as new! (Let it dry completely for a few hours before using!)
I was concerned it would smell like alchohol- but nope!  It actually even shows up on my skin a little better.  I tested it out for weeks before doing it to the other shade because I wasn't sure it would work or last.... oh.... I will always do this.  Best tip I've ever read about.

ps. sorry I have not been commenting or showing you any love- we're so crazy busy with the move!
p.p.s Last day to enter the CSN giveaway for free loot.  Do it Do it.

What a great trick! I've an expert at breaking/wrecking makeup, if only I'd know this years ago! I think this will save me some serious dollars in the future! Thanks! =)
YOU. ARE. AWESOME! I've dropped my fave pallet countless times. I've lost about 4 or 5 colors being so stinkin' clumsy. I'm about to go buy a new pallet today. Now I know this for the future. I'm gonna pass this along on Luxe Boulevard for all us gals to be in the know.
This is so smart! I'm not going to freak next time I end up accidentally dropping mine!

Did you know you can also add shattered eyeshadow to clear nailpolish to make your own color? Try it! :)
