having a ball

My in-laws got us this awesome ice cream maker.  I was a little worried it would tire me out (you have to roll it around) or not make very much but it was super fun to do with Brody and made just enough for three.  It only took 20 minutes start to finish!  Felt like no time at all.  Which would be a good thing except now I'll be wanting homemade ice cream all the time now. (;  It was SOooooOO good.  Took me back to my childhood when we'd make ice cream at home a lot.

I made strawberry... I think next time (when I get home to my blender) I'll make one with fresh peaches. YUM. Which speaking of peaches I had a peach the size of a softball yesterday, it was uh-mazing.

I didn't make it to my other spoon before eating half it with this.  Can you blame me?

did you seriously take those pictures? Your camera is awesome! OR maybe it's the photographer! Food is hard to photograph. That looks so good!

We have a big ice cream maker that makes 4 quarts and we probably make it too much. Our favorite is using fresh strawberries... and mint chocolate chip. We love it during the summer and always do it for family parties.

Sara, yes I did take them- thank you for the compliment (:

Alycia, I hear ya- this was my first time using it since Christmas. I just never got around to buying rock salt. haha.

Cathy, sounds like the one we had growing up. It's probably one you can plug in, right? That's what I need now.... 4 QUARTS!....for parties of course (;

I'm not much of an ice cream fan but I do love homemade ice cream. I've been telling Rob that's something we need to get for Christmas or something. Looks delicious!

Okay first things first. Thanks for coming over and leaving such a sweet little note on my blog. Secondly, I have been spending the last 30 minutes on your photography blog drooling over your talent. You're incredible. And third, my mouth just watered for some home made ice cream. YUM!! I don't know you either, but I think we could be friends. :)

Oh my word, I am so all about this! They totally remind me of the hamster ball we used to put our hamsters in and let them roam around the house in. I'll be getting one of these and letting my Labs play with it for a good half hour - LOVE IT!
