It's been a while since I was in the "nesting" phase. My baby is turning 12 this year. The nesting instinct, is the burst of energy women often get in the last few weeks of pregnancy that inspires them to clean and organize the house in preparation for baby's arrival. So that's not quite me... I am not pregnant. But next month I do have a surgery that I need to get ready for.
I have had dozens of surgeries in my life (give or take) but I have never had the recovery process that I am expecting this time around. It will be long and grueling, I hear. It will make me the most immobile I have ever been, and that scares the daylights out of me. But I will post about that life update in another post.
For now I wanted to hold myself accountable by making a list of all the things I need/want to do in the weeks before my surgery; before my body can't do anything for a really long time.
- Fix my bike tire/get a tune up
- Trim the front bushes
- Cut up wood pile in backyard
- Pick Pears
- Paint Vents
- Fall Hike in Mountains
- Family Pictures
- Use the swim spa at least once a week
- Gym with Tony once a week
- Paint over garden boxes
- Replace plants in pots on porch
- Cut back rose bushes
- Pickleball once a week
- Make a ton of bread/zucchini bread to freeze
- Clean leather seats in car
- Get and wrap bday gifts for my son
- Decorate for Halloween
