Christmas Crafts I WILL Be Doing This Year

It seems like everyday I am inspired by Instagram crafts, recipes, home decor, and on and on. I tend to save, save, save ideas but rarely ever make them!  This year will be different, that is my pledge to you. I have rounded up 5 Instagram Christmas Crafts that I can easily do with my busy schedule as a mom, University student, and Primary President. Here we go!

1. Bottle Brush Tree Ornament Clips

Directions: Simply push down the metal prongs on the clip, cut off the base of the tree with pliers, glue the tree on the clip with a glue gun, and clip to your tree!  So easy and adorable, I will be doing this.

2. Homemade Mercury Glass Ornaments

I know first hand how expensive Mercury Glass ornaments can be, but how beautiful. I love this idea of making your own! Directions: 2 Sprays of "Looking Glass" color followed by 1/2 vinegar 1/2 water solution. Dry completely with the dryer in between each color. Then spray gold and then dark copper making sure to use the vinegar/water solution after each paint color.  LOVE!

3. Sculpey Clay Place Cards

These remind me SO MUCH of these Santa Tags I made 13 years ago, don't they? Psst... I'm STILL using them each year! Why I never thought of using them as place cards I'll never know. I love the more modern look to these.

Directions: Roll out Sculpey Clay, cut to desired size and shape, create hole for tag, smooth with paintbrush and water, stamp name in the clay and smooth again if needed.  Bake according to package directions. Tie up with a dried orange slice with pretty ribbon!

4. Snow Globe Friend/Teacher Gifts

In years past it has been so easy for me to just head to See's Candy and buy a box of chocolates for my kid's teachers. But I know they get so much candy and I want to do something more special for them. This year I'm planning to make these snow globes!

5. Cake Stand Village

If not this cake stand village to grace my kitchen because I will already have THESE Mason Jar Snow Globes on the counter (13 years later baby!), I think I can settle making one of these (or all of these) adorable Christmassy pancakes for my kids. What a fun surprise and memorable way to kick off Christmas break, am I right? But if I do have room, I'll most certainly be creating a cute Christmas Village in my kitchen.
