before February is over..

Ahh yes, the month of loooove.  It's  over in a matter of minutes.  Too fast.  Life.. stop going so fast.  We did celebrate valentine's day.  For two days, in fact.  Tony and I made a deal this year that we think it would be special that we switch off planning the "big date" each year.  We'd still do stuff for the other person but the big date would switch every year.  I gladly volunteered to go for it this year- I was excited!  But... nothing really went as I wanted it to.  (It's HARD when you have a baby at home who needs you so you can't just be gone for hours on end).  We still had a lovely dinner together, went to "our spot" to see the city lights, and schtuff.

Few weekends ago Tony had to fly out of town for a work thing.  I had a night and part of a day to work on a little something for him.  I recorded my song for him.  When we were dating I wrote him a song on the guitar (I'm no guitarist- but from the few things I taught myself, I wrote something for him).  I'm also no singer but you do crazy things when you are in love.  So, I recorded my singing along with the guitar part and put that on his Ipod.  There have been a few people in my life that love my singing voice (at least a few that have told me) and Tony is one of them.  Thanks for making me feel good about it, T!

Although I was in charge of the big date I didn't get any pictures of the stuff I did!  I kinda like it that way- but obviously I had to take pictures when Tony whipped out a little something for me Valentine's night (cupcakes).  I love my husband so much, we're a perfect fit.  Thanks for being you, Tony- I couldn't imagine life any other way than as your wife.

today's letter to Tony...

If I were to write a letter to Tony (didn't you know that's how our love began?  Pen pals.)  Anyways... if I were to write one about today, it would go like this:


Dearest Tony,

(whops I accidentally typed an "a" at the end.  really and truly.  My bad. deleted. Tonya!  bahaha!  New nickname emerges.)  Okay so I'm already rambling but you know that about me and my stories.  You get like five in one- everytime.  Love me through it.  *Sigh.  So.  

Tonight was bittersweet.  Eating In' N Out for probably the last time ever in our lives before our move!  No more In 'N Out nearby?  It's like a sick joke!  You can take the girl out of California (you did that once) but you can't take the In 'N Out.. out. of- okay I don't know where I'm going with that.  
Last thing?  When you call me during a photo shoot know that you've instantly thrown me off.  Do not disturb my delicate genius!  Okay I take that back... phone calls about Brody going to urgent care are allowed.  Just don't start your message, 
"Connie when you get done with your photo shoot we are going to be at the children's urgent care..." (insert freak out)
No, I don't really know a better way to start it but I'm sure you'll figure out something.  I mean, too bad you can't cause that'll never happen again (kids aren't stunt devils or anything- this was a one time thing, basically.)

Dear everyone else, I redid my photo blog look (it happens)so go take a gander.  I figure since we are relocating it's a good time!  Start anew.  

i already broke my new year's resolution

One of my new year resolutions was to -- wait for it -- take less pictures.  My problem is that I'll take shots thinking I'll delete them later but I don't have the heart.  Pansy.
Whatever, so it's only February and I failed miserably at this outing to the park (what, I get 8 frames a second with my camera... the pictures kinda add up fast).  Despite breaking my resolution this early I still really am going to work on taking LESS pictures.  Not that I'm that bad, I just know myself- and I have to be organized.  Too many pictures makes my life feel cluttered (interestingly enough) and it stresses me out.  Done rambling.
Yesterday we spent a good 3 1/2 hours at Freestone park.  I love the age Brody is now- he has SO much fun at stuff like this.  I went here with friends not too long ago but forgot my camera!  Guess I had to make up for it... (;


































It's such a small little place but lots of fun- especially the watching Brody have a blast, part. They played awesome banjo music the whole time that felt like Disneyland so how can you not spend three hours there (; Anyway that inspired the little video & the music. (It looks like Hyrum is being gagged but he rather liked chewing (drooling) on the sling...thing. It's true.) Ta ta for now.

couple fake birthdays and a real one.

Happy 3 month birthday to my baby Hy!  We took him to the doctor on monday because we've all been a little sick here (he's OK) so I found out his three month weight is 13 lbs 13 oz (normally you don't see the doctor at 3 months).  Chub!  Love it. 

He is such a great baby!  At three months Hyrum:

-smiles and laughs all the time

-wakes up at 2am and 5am and finally at 7:30ish

-has extremely ticklish thighs

-just about has full control over his head/neck

 (I call him bobble head Hyrum)

-extremely cuddly- loves being held all day long
-appreciates a good diaper change.  He gets SO smiley
when I put a fresh one on. haha!

... friends.  Natalie Wall has been one of those (but nm the friends post later..) this post is about photo shoots.  How fun it is to have friends who have the same passion I do.  And on occasion we get together and make a date of it.  Natalie, todays photo adventure was awesome, I love you!  Don't mind me, I yoinked this from your blog.

(I won't miss crazy guys who come up to us telling us to watch out because we might lose our teeth... or something.  Yeah I'm probably good without that;)

The other day the husband found an army man in my hair.  Really?  Cause I was oblivious.  I kinda wish he didn't mention it- I would've liked to see how long it would last.  I'm thinkin' through a trip to Target and possibly up until my next shower.  So you know, not long or anything.

Recently we spent a beautiful afternoon at the civic center in Scottsdale... oh and obviously at Sprinkles.  Today is the last day to get the raspberry chocolate chip so.... GO GET ONE!  NOW!  IT'S DIVINE!  Life will be complete, the end.

But anyways... I'm discovering not reading your camera manual before taking pictures is probably not a good idea.  Apparently I'm not winding my film tight enough??  Whatever.  Anyway that is the reason for all these messed up pictures (which in their own way are sorta cool?).  Truth be told, I'm a little ticked my cute smiling baby's picture didn't turn out... along with not getting the foreground in focus.  Oh crappy diana, I still love you.  I just need to figure out how to work you.

That quote is my new favorite.  It is definitely how I feel about my marriage to Tony. 

We're stuck home again.. Tony is sick and I have a little something too.  Thank goodness the boys are healthy!
