Sticker Therapy

I'm happy to spread the word about an opportunity to help this sweet little girl.  Read her story (written by the YW President in their ward) and if you can help out, that would be so great.  Let me know if you have any questions I can answer for you!
This is Abigail the day before her 2nd birthday. When she was 19 months old, she became critically ill and was diagnosed with cancer---stage 4, high-risk Neuroblastoma. She has been through a lot--with a lot still yet to go through. Abigail loves stickers and they offer distraction and entertainment during multiple hospital stays. Our goal with  Sticker Therapy is to receive enough stickers to be able to put some packets together to share with other children we meet who are fighting for their lives. When these kids are fighting cancer, they go through a lot of yucky therapies: chemotherapy, radiotherapy, antibody therapy, etc. We decided to call this project Sticker Therapy...a therapy they could look forward to!!  We encourage you to donate some stickers, and then know that you are blessing the lives of some precious children.

The Laurels in my ward are going to be putting together these sticker books as their 10 hour projects, so the more stickers... the better! Any kinds of stickers are needed. We had someone donate the stickers that come on the rolls that the doctor offices use, and those are perfect! They are easy to rip apart and put into bags. If you have any contacts with doctors or know of someone who does, please let them know. Also, FYI, Hobby Lobby stickers are 50% off this week!

email: if you would like to help

*** They are in Mesa, Arizona if you think it would be easier to drop some off***

It is so hard watching someone so young struggle this way.  I cannot even imagine how hard it is for her family, too.  They say laughter is the best medicine... hopefully we can bring smiles to this little girl and others.  Thanks you guys!

Thanks for sharing. Just to think, all we need to offer is a sticker or two; with all your followers, that could end up being a really significant contribution! Love, Mother
