I had to rhyme there because in last years post "'08 Was Great" I so did.
I interrupt my vacation posts to bring you my year in review. 'Cause some of you are new to me and missed out on all my adventures. Plus it's tradition.
On with the post!
January I bought some not-so-cheap jeans (my new weakness) and modeled them while Brody rolled around on the floor. We also fed Brody paper for the first time.
But really Tony turned 20-something, Brody was mistaken for a girl, and my dad and brother came to visit. I can't remember why though...
February my first laptop ever finally died and a friend and I got made fun of for trying these "shirts" on in public.
But really we had our annual super bowl party and Tony and I made a public display of our affection for each other- I dig it.
March nothing happened other than I highlighted my "virgin hair" (a milestone in any girls life), our firstborn turned a whopping ONE, and we partied it up in Vegas Mormon-style (so we hit up a buffet and some rides on that tall-thingy and headed home) Oh- and I hacked my bangs off somehow- eww.
April was a doozie. My mom came into town and Brody went to his first dbacks game on opening day; then went to California to see the cousins- my sister and her family. We went to my favorite Danish tourist trap (well, the only one I know of- Solvang!)
Then it was Easter, Easter Pageant, and hightailing it to Oklahoma. Oh- and leaving our apartment of 2 1/2 years. Our last moments sleeping on the rock hard floor were ones to remember.
Brody is pantless because he managed to leak through every pair of shorts he had- on that drive.
I also received the first mission pic of my little brother..
In may I started taking pictures like it was nobody's business, and enjoyed my first month in Oklahoma. I lived through my first tornado warning, and my search for Hershey's S'mores bars came to an end.
June I had a photo shoot with my friend Charde since my friend Lauren featured me on her blog (but I mean, who needs an excuse for a photo shoot- really..Tony and Brody have one every day at our house). I also discovered paper straws at the OKC Zoo. Paper straws are wild, let me tell you. I enrolled Brody in swim class, started posting recipes on this blog, and landed myself in urgent care on father's day.
July was the fourth, food, and fireworks. Plus a trip to Virginia and Pennsylvania. And also Brody's first movie "Charlottes Web", and the ghetto rat-and-duct-tape-turtle-zoo.
in August yours truly got older- my mom was able to be there! I got the best present from Tony ever- my camera! But who can forget about my breakfast smiling at me, a California trip, and that long drive back to AZ from Oklahoma- my mom was there too (man, I'm a lucky girl)
September I started school. And took pictures like a mad woman (well, I guess that's every month- most of it was homework though) Labor day and a "Brody-only weekend" were the highlights.
October was the Great Cupcake Flight of '09, our anniversary, and my brother got to visit. I handmade my skirt (no sewing machine-holla!) for my Halloween costume and enjoyed the fun parties. I also produced my favorite post.
November means lots of family and anxiously awaiting Christmas. Oh- but this year it also meant New Moon, a secret mission, and just another reason for an insane amount of picture taking.
December is the best- who can argue? I guess Scrooge and the Grinch would but anyways.
It was a glorious month- as you probably remember. Let's just say- lots of photo shoots, straight A's and one B (so not really straight A's), and our last vacation of the decade which I'm still behind on blogging about. *sigh.
'09... you really were divine.
